What you will learn

- Window, split, cassette, ducted and packaged air conditioners
- Brazing, leak testing, evacuation, gas charging and electrical controls
- Cold storage fundamentals, HVAC ducting and preventive maintenance

Course structure
The syllabus for this trade is notified by the Directorate General of Training and is common across all NCVT-affiliated ITIs in India. Contact hours are divided between:

| Engineering Drawing | Reading and producing the drawings the trade works from (two-year trades). |
| Employability Skills | Communication, IT literacy, entrepreneurship, labour welfare and workplace conduct — common to all trades. |
| On-the-job training / project | Industry exposure and a trade project as prescribed in the current syllabus. |
